Book & Bible Studies
In addition to the Adult Forum and children’s Sunday School classes Sunday mornings at 10:00 there will be many opportunities for Christian formation at Holy Faith this year:
Father Semon's Book Study - On Tuesday mornings at 10:00, Father Semon facilitates a study of a book chosen by the group. Since the study began in the fall of 2010, the group has read and discussed "The Imitation of Christ," by Thomas a Kemis, "The Confession of St. Augustine," and "Julian of Norwich: Revelations of Divine Love." Newcomers are always welcome!
A Different Kind of Book Group meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon in the Campbell Room. Parishioner Rickie Sherrill facilitates this group. Please give Rickie a call at 995-8550 for more information.
Wednesday Men’s Study
Each Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 pm, Father Semon leads a Men’s Bible study of the Gospel of John in the Campbell Room. Please join us, and bring your Bibles!
A LOOK AHEAD: THE GIFT OF YEARS: GROWING OLDER GRACEFULLY -
Coming back in the New Year! A book discussion of Joan Chittister’s book The Gift of Years: Growing Older Gracefully. Chittister, an internationally known spiritual guide and theologian, reflects on the mixed emotions and experiences of aging, such as, regret, fear, transformation, reconciliation, spirituality, health, wisdom, joy….and many more! Come have a cup of tea and reflect on your own life together with others. Meets 4-5:15 on Wednesdays.
Thursday Women’s Study
The Thursday Women’s Bible Study meets Thursdays at 10:00 a.m., in the Kinsolving Room. Father Semon is the leader/facilitator of this study. We will not use study guides, so just bring your Bibles! Please call Suzanne Spivey at 983-1366 for more information.
